Poet Robert Frost once commented, “The brain is a wonderful organ. It starts working the moment you get up in the morning and doesn’t stop until you get to the office.”

Have you ever felt like just by walking into the office you lose energy? It’s hard to pinpoint where that feeling comes from. Sometimes it feels as if it comes from the walls. Maybe it’s the cubicles. Maybe it’s the policies and rules which all organizations have. Maybe it’s the people, but more often to me it feels like something bigger than any one person, something so large that no one person feels power enough to overcome that which holds us all. In an environment like that, its easy to understand why people go elsewhere for personal, spiritual, and creative fulfillment and life.

The problem is we all must work. Thankfully, the workplace is teeming with opportunities to be creative. So, for the person who wants to apply creativity to all aspects of their life, including their work, where do you begin?
