the artist’s way

i’ve been hearing lots of positive talk in recent days about a book called The Artist’s Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity. amazon describes it as:

a comprehensive twelve-week program to recover your creativity from a variety of blocks, including limiting beliefs, fear, self-sabotage, jealousy, guilt, addictions, and other inhibiting forces, replacing them with artistic confidence and productivity

there’s also The Artist’s Way at Work: Riding the Dragon, which applies to folks working in the business world. you can see sample worksheets here at the official site.

the skeptic in me fears that these books might be overly trite and/or hokey. but the idealist in me hears the positive talk and wonders what sorts of imagination, innovation, and satisfaction these types of tools might unleash.
